I actually don't remember how the forum works either :) I think it's any post on the topic but I'm not sure.
I completely agree that over x intervals is the way to go, regardless of what boxcar-ing actually means. I think you should call it "average x values..." rather than "group x values..." but ...

I would also recommend adding "Boxcar averaging at ___ X-precision" in the same menu as when we are choosing the error bar type, because sometimes repeated measurements have slightly different x values. In case you don't know what boxcar averaging is, at 0.1 precision it would mean averaging all ...

I think you should change the name of the feature to "Generate Averages Curve With Error Bars" or something like that, and then we can choose whichever kind of error bar we want with a clickthrough menu. This feature alone would justify people buying dplot at the new price! Of course, I bought dplot ...

Add SEM!
This is a great feature, I actually just had to do this today using MATLAB, only what I needed was SEM! It's very common for me to do exactly what you did only to use SEM as the error bars. And I bet I'm not the only one, so if you add that as an option, it'll be really useful!

arbitrary curve fitting
I am sure somebody has requested this already, but if you could get someone to help you with the code for generalized curve fitting (for an arbitrary function), I would no longer even bother buying a program like Origin or Sigmaplot, because then I could do virtually everything I need with Dplot and ...

Ability to Choose color of each series in 3D plots
I am using the 3D plot feature of DPlot to graph the change of a spectrum with time. Very similar to the following image:
http://sicyon.com/spectrino/screenshots/plot1.gif
However, what I am -actually- doing is comparing 2 sets of spectra across time. So I would like to make one set red, and one ...

misaligned error bars if uneven datasets
When importing from excel, I had some cells which were blank due to having unknown error. E.g:
Y Error
1.1 0.4
1.2 0.6
1.7 0.3
1.8
1.9 0.4
3.4 0.5
When importing into dplot, the "blank" space is not imported. Now the error series has less datapoints.
When selecting the error series as the error ...

Truncated y data with separated columns imported from excel
If the number of y data points is uneven when importing two separated columns from excel (as in, you need to hold ctrl to select them), the longer data gets truncated.
This only happens if the columns are separated, you use ctrl to select them, and if the last column is the shorter one.
Examples ...

Interpolation with "Rounded" x values returned
David, thanks for adding in the update to the equal intervals command. It made subsequent interpolation easier.
I have another question/suggestion that just came up. One of the reasons I'm using the command is to take data sets which have arbitrary x-values, and to get them to "rounded" values

Adding error bars in individually
I found it difficult to find as well, until I found it.
I'd like it if you could right click on a point to add error bars, or to add error bars for individual data points without having to choose a series. (e.g., copy and paste a list of points in). Same thing for editing a data series, I was ...

Improving graph export to word
I've found that following DPlotAdmin's recommendation works well with a couple of modifications.
1) When using Options>Extents/Intervals/Size to "Specify size" for the box, make sure you take into account that this is only referring to the size of the graph box -- NOT including the axes titles. So ...
