DPlot

Morning All,

Recently downloaded the trial version of this software.

Am trying to produce a multiple axis graph but i cant get my head around it.

Ill explain what im after and maybe someone can advise.

Basically i need 3 axes

X = Dowel Diameter
Y1 = Load Capacity
Y2 = Timber Thickness

What i would like to do is plot my data using the 3 axes. Now i can get the third axis to appear but my data is not plotted in the right way i think .

I have the data in excel, but i have noticed that i cant attach the excel workbook so ill try and describe what i have.

For clarity the information;
cells A3 - A27 are dowel diameters (6-30)
cells B2 - BA2 are timber thickness (45-300)
cells B3 - BA27 are load capacities (1451.16-23423.54)

I have transposed this information in the table below as i thought that doing this would allow me to simply copy the information into my existing graph and manipulate this to get the 3rd axis - but i have yet to get that to work.

If anyone is able to plot this data or advise on how to plot it, i would be most grateful.

Copy/Paste expects data in columns. And there is no Add-In function that will take a mix of X in a column, Y in a row. So if you can rearrange things that would be good:

column A: dowel diameter
column B: load capacity
column C: timber thickness

Then select columns A-C and use the Add-In XYYY function. That will give you two curves, both associated with the Y axis on the left. Select Options>Multiple Axes, select "Independent Y2", in the curve list select your timber thickness curve, then select Y2.
