Dear Dplot and user base,

I am new to this forum and I just downloaded the trial version of Dplot. I am seeking a programm which allows me to do a Fourier analysis of and comparison of audiofiles.

Detail:
- 10 Recording of Audio of 10 seconds each.
- Fourier analysis
- show all 10 curves on one page (one curves is displayed over the other) so that I can compare them (visual)

I am maybe wrong and mybe this is not possible at all with this program, but I can't test anything as I can't import any Audio file right now (trial version limit I guess)

With best regards and thanks in advance to answer my question.

Thomas

Easy one first: The .WAV import plugin isn't distributed with the trial version, but this is only meant to reduce the size of the download rather than being an incentive to buy DPlot. You can get the .WAV import plugin here: http://www.dplot.com/plugins/fileimport/wav.dll. Create a \plugins\fileimport folder below the DPlot folder (normally c:\Program Files\DPlot) and save wav.dll to that folder. The next time you run DPlot you'll see "WAV Audio" listed under "L Plugins".

The FFT function creates a new document, so running 10 FFTs will create 10 new graphs. But you can easily move the results of 1 FFT to another document with Edit>Move/Copy Curves. After the 2nd and all subsequent FFTs select Edit>Move/Copy Curves and move (or copy) the FFT result to the document for the first FFT (which will have a caption of "FFT" until you save it to a file).
