The curve-fitting should include Gaussian and Lorentz functions.

Scrambles to find his Numerical Recipes book...
I've never run across a practical application for the Gaussian function in my work, and sadly I'm not at all familiar with the Lorentz function. I'm sure it can be done, but I will most likely be bugging you for example data to test this with when the time comes. Thanks for the suggestion.
