Dave,
Here's a non DPlot (off-topic) suggestion for quickly obtaining and DPlotting free historical foreign exchange-rate data that your users might like - similar to the previous one for free stock quotes that appears in your FAQ.
1. Link to http://www.oanda.com/convert/fxhistory
2. Set Language, Starting Date, and Ending Date leaving the mm/dd/yy default as is.
3. Choose currency to convert "from" and currency to convert "to" OR insert Currency Codes for each.
4. Select ASCII on the "Format:" drop down menu.
5. Click on "Get Table".
6. When Table appears, select the whole list by clicking and draging down the entire list of dates and exchange-rates.
7. Copy (Ctrl+C) the selected list.
8. Launch DPlot and click on File/New/YX plot OR enter Ctrl+N.
9. Paste (Ctrl+V) the data into the DPlot XY graph and tidy up as desired.
10. To add a second exchange rate for comparison with the first, just query Oanda for a second set of currencies in the same way and paste them into the same plot. Highly disparate values between the two exchange rates may require an independent Y scale and Y axis for the values in the second curve. In that case, click on Options/Multiple Axes, select "Independent Y2" in the "Y Axis Options:" box, leave "Curve#2...no legend" in the "Curve:" dialog box, and select "Y2" in the "Axis" box. Click OK to see both curves with their respective scales. Adjust as necessary.
