3d vector plotting

Hi David,

I purchased dplot a two months and I love it! I had a question about plotting 3d vectors. I tried to search the forum but didn’t find anything relating to this, I thought it would be a very common question. Dplot does great at a 2d vector field, but I have data in 3d and I would like to plot the electric field vector at several points. Currently, I’m using Maple12 to do this, but I’m not really satisfied with the look and I was curious if dplot was capable of generating a 3d vector plot.

Thank you,
-Mike

Good! But the reply goes downhill from here. I've never considered doing this but it would be easy enough. Rather than making it a special-purpose 3D plot I think I'd be better off making this a separate data type, since 6 dimensions are required (x,y,z,vector magnitude, vector angle around some axis or from some plane, and another angle). It's now on my to-do list, but I cannot promise a release date and you shouldn't hold your breath for it.
