bubbles plot

Post by baudem »

I want to make a bubbles plot out of an excel sheet with three colums: The X and Y coordinate and a number representing the size. I have been looking into the help files, without success until now. Can somebody give some help on how tho make these bubbles plots in DPLOT.

This is an example of my data:

0.755/ 7.577/ 27
2.508/ 1.114/ 30
3.0187/ 2.561/ 42
3.689/ 5.332/ 16
5.332/ 1.893/ 33

Thanks in advance

In Excel, select those 3 columns. On the DPlot Add-In menu select XYYY. In DPlot select "Bubble plot" on the Options menu. Under "Which curve?" select "Curve #1"; under "Bubble amplitudes from" select "Curve #2". Pick a symbol type, low and high sizes and colors, then click OK.

Sorry for the dumb question, but you have parsed the data in Excel to put these numbers into 3 columns, right? (The "/" isn't in your real data file, is it?)
