Individually Turn Off Legend Text for Curves

Post by jsc »

David,

In working with this gps data and shp file maps, I would have liked to be able to individually turn off the legend text for the shp file "background" map. For example, "fe_2007_36081_edges.shp" is not so useful to have showing in the legend, but I don't want to lose the name of the source information that created it. I think I'd like a check box in the legend text dialog to individually turn on and off the legend text, and eliminate the line in the Legend box, just like would happen if there was no legend text for a curve. Right now, the way to eliminate this info showing is to delete the text for the curve legend. I'd like to preserve the text, but not show the text or the curve label entry in the Legend box.

Default would be to show the text unless the curve was hidden. Unclicking would turn it off, not show the curve info in the legend, but still display the curve on the plot.

And yeah, someone's going to want that in a macro, so guess it means adding another field in the macro command.

For some time in the future...!

Thanks.
