As I try a variety of approaches toward displaying bathymetric data, I've come across a few minor issues that I hope would have simple fixes.
1. I like to try a variety of different color combinations for maps in order to highlight different issues. When I save a particular color combination it goes here:
.../AppData/Roaming/Dplot/Colors
The problem is, when I try to open up an existing list of saved files in this folder, it only shows me a single file rather than the complete listing. If I enter the first letter of the file, then files with that initial letter are shown but no others.
2. When I'm in Options/Contour Options/ and make a latitude or longitude distance change, then the scale factor barges in and changes my 1:1 setting to something other than 1:1. How can I force the scale factor to remain at 1:1?
3. In Text, why is the print caption checked by default? In order to have a clean plot, I continually need to go in and remove this option.
Thanks for anyone's help on these issues.

Hi Dave,
Are you sure this isn't just the Vista default display for the Open dialog getting you confused? (By default, it shows filenames in multiple columns.) If this is no help please let me know, but I do see all of the files I've previously saved.1.
Select Options>General and uncheck "Always auto-adjust scale factors on 3D plots"2. When I'm in Options/Contour Options/ and make a latitude or longitude distance change, then the scale factor barges in and changes my 1:1 setting to something other than 1:1. How can I force the scale factor to remain at 1:1?
The setting you were using the last time you shut down DPlot should be used again, unless you have a default settings file that has this option turned on - on your system that will be ./AppData/Roaming/Dplot/Preferences/default.set. You can delete this file if you like, or open a new plot (which will use those settings), turn off "Print Caption", and re-save default.set.3. In Text, why is the print caption checked by default? In order to have a clean plot, I continually need to go in and remove this option.

Hi Dave,
Issues 2 & 3 solved. Thanks!
I apologize for not being clearer in my first query. I meant to say:
The problem is, when I try to open up an existing list of saved files in this folder,
" using the OPTIONS/CONTOUR OPTIONS/COLOR/CUSTOM/OPEN sequence"
it only shows me a single file rather than the complete listing. If I enter the first letter of the file, then files with that initial letter are shown but no others.
Of course if I use Vista to go through the Apps folder sequence, all the files are there...

Yes, I understood that. I'm just puzzled that your files don't show up... unless you're not using the default .clr extension. (In Vista the file specification is shown on the right (and will always initially be *.clr). If that isn't the problem - well I don't know. The problem is, when I try to open up an existing list of saved files in this folder,
" using the OPTIONS/CONTOUR OPTIONS/COLOR/CUSTOM/OPEN sequence"
it only shows me a single file rather than the complete listing.

Hi Dave,
I just found the problem. It was as you surmised - somehow nearly all the files weren't being saved with .clr extensions. When I renamed the files to include the .clr extension, they all appeared.
Still having issues with the file name on the plot in spite of deleting the default.set file - but at this point I can live with that...(^-^)
