New to DPlot. Is there any way to plot a compressor map with efficiency islands? They takes the form of pressure ratio (PR) on the y axis, mass flow on the x axis, with contour islands of efficiency. There are generally 4-5 speedlines of data (m, PR, efficiency) and I would like to be able to see the individual speedlines of PR vs m with efficiency contours across all of the speedlines. URL to a "typical" compressor maps below. Thanks.

The only way DPlot will create a plot like your example is with an overlay, one with Z=speedlines, the other with Z=efficiency. Overlays are kinda sorta hidden, only available via macro. (But it's entirely possible I misunderstand the concept completely and this will be no help.) If you can produce contour plots of efficiency=f(mass, pressure ratio) that are independent of speedline value=f(mass, pressure ratio)... see http://www.dplot.com/blog/2009/07/
