Where should the "Append to active document" option be shown?

As checked menu item.

I'd say that I like the "Append to active document" selection visible on the menu, like it was originally. I find myself turning that option on and off frequently, and it's nice to see the status immediately, before you select the plot choice.

Anyone else have a preference?
