Conversion of filenames to lower-case

I've noticed that when I save change to a file that had originally had capital letters in its filename, the old filename is written over in lower-case letters only. A minor glitch, but a little annoying.

What version of Windows are you using? (I tried this just now on XP and saving either a DPlot file or a CSV file preserves the case.)
