possibly the dumbest question y=f(x)

Post by srf »

I have look everywhere I can think of for the answer but can figure out how to directly revise an existing expression for the function. I end up copying existing y=f(x) expression to new plot and then editing that.

Once the program plots the function, is there a way to change the original expression?

(If so, this might be added to the help file under "edit" or "function")

If you're asking whether you can change the initial function and automatically replace the curve that was generated by that function... no, that can't be done. DPlot doesn't maintain any sort of relationship between a function and the data generated by that function.

If that's not what you're asking, I'm confused about what you're having a problem with. The last function you typed is preserved and will be presented as the default the next time you use y=f(x), so it shouldn't be necessary to copy/paste anything.
